German DAAD Master’s Scholarships Program 2011-2012
Year 2010, return the DAAD offers scholarships to master the German field of Public Policy and Governance. Scholarship to Germany is open not only to those who are middle of a career, but also students who just graduated. Master’s Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance (PPGG)
Scholarship purposes:
This program is designed to meet the academic qualifications of future leaders in politics, law, economics and administration in accordance with the principles of Good Governance and to prepare them in a praxis-oriented course for their professional lives. This program offers very good graduates with a university degree first opportunity to earn a Masters degree in a discipline that has particular relevance for social development, politics and economy of their home countries. With knowledge and experience acquired in Germany the scholarship holders should later contribute to the formation of economic systems and social democratic orientation is aimed at overcoming social tensions. In addition, training at German institutions of higher education should especially qualify the scholarship holders as partners in political and economic cooperation with Germany. With this program, DAAD intends to contribute to support the Good Governance and civil society structures in partner countries and regions selected.
Registration Scheme:
Scholarship scheme is open to candidates from Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia and from countries in the Middle East (see attached list of countries).
Target groups
Very well qualified graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) who in the future want to actively contribute to economic and social development of their home countries. This scholarship is offered both for young graduates without professional experience and for mid-career professionals.
Paper applications to be submitted including
- DAAD application form for research grants and scholarships study (download here please);
- Motivation Letter contains a precise description of the applicant’s reasons for academic / professional and personal who wish to participate in this program;
- Full Curriculum Vitae, including information about the appropriate field of study and, if applicable, description of work experience;
o Recent language certificate giving evidence of the level of ability in English (TOEFL, IELTS) and if applicable in Germany. Please make sure to register at the time of each test. The cost to obtain an investment certificate is viewed as a personal career and will not be replaced.
- Two letters of recommendation by university professors and / or current or former employer;
- Officially confirmed copies of all certificates.
More information about the letter to be submitted are listed on the application form can also be obtained from the Internet, from the diplomatic and consular representatives of the Federal Republic of Germany or from the local DAAD lecturers, Offices or Information Centres. Applications must be written in English or German. Papers should not be stapled and better in DIN A4 format (or smaller).
Tanggat limit registration:
Collection of paper, complete applications must be submitted by August 15, 2010 to address common application in your home country (in most cases local or diplomatic representative DAAD).
