Max Weber’s Newest Scholarship Program 2010

Max Weber Programme is the largest program in Europe postdoctoral social sciences and humanities. It is funded by the European Commission (DG Education and Culture) and hosted by the European University Institute in Florence where the research community of professors, researchers and colleagues provide an environment that is very bai k to the Program. The program, open to all countries, is designed for junior post-docs who have received a doctorate in economics, law, history, social and political science, or related field, within five years and who want to advance in their research and academic training , in an active multidisciplinary environment before entering the international job market, or in the early stages of their academic careers.

Selection Criteria

The following criteria guide the selection of Max Weber Fellows:

Research achievement and potential.
Research excellence judged by the contribution of the candidate (publications, PhD theses, etc.) and other supporting evidence (ie, letters of reference and research plan).

Academic career interests valued based on CV,
The research and academic career statement and other supporting evidence (ie, letters of reference), with the aim of putting Max Weber Fellowships are for the candidates, meet the criteria of research excellence and commitment to academic careers, which can benefit the most from Max Weber Programme,

Capacity and faculty
In addition to the above two criteria, Eui capacity and availability of faculty to provide guidance into account, however, while those with common interests of this research may help, it’s not a requirement for mentoring.
